New waterpark to open in Las Vegas

A new US$18m, 25-acre waterpark is expected to open in Las Vegas, US, in May 2012.

Construction of Splash Canyon Waterpark has already commenced, led by a consortium of developers which includes SPB Partners, Clark County and the Howard Hughes Corporation.

A large wave pool, a three-slide complex with multi-rider tube slides, a children's water playground and a 1,000ft lazy river will comprise the first phase of the park.
