New developments for Legoland Florida

Just six weeks after the official opening of Legoland Florida, operator Merlin Entertainments has released details of the resort's expansion.

Scheduled to open in summer 2012, Legoland Water Park will be bolted to the major Lego-themed venue, featuring a wave pool, Built-A-Raft lazy river, tube slides, body slides and an interactive wetplay structure, Duplo Safari.

Commenting on the development, Adrian Jones, general manager of Legoland Florida, said: "True to our mission, the waterpark attraction has been designed for families with children ages between two and 12 and will add hours of water play to an already full day and move Legoland Florida into a multi-day experience for vacationers."
