HKD mulls expansion
After reporting a narrowing of its annual net loss due in part to a 13 per cent increase in visitors throughout 2011, Hong Kong Disneyland said it was considering new ways of attracting more people to the park.
Attendance during the fiscal year ended October 1 rose to 5.9 million visitors from 5.2 million the previous year. The percentage of guests from China rose to 45 per cent from 42 per cent.
"To attract more visitors, we are mulling the next round of expansion to beyond 2013," managing director Andrew Kam told a news conference, adding that proposals to enhance the attraction will be revealed in the next 12 months.
