New San Diego venue set to open in 2012
Nickelodeon, the children's television network, plans to open an amusement resort in San Diego, US, in 2012.
The Nickelodeon Resort, located in San Diego's Liberty Station development region, will join the southern Californian city's world-renowned portfolio of venues, which includes Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland and Wild Animal Park.
Nickelodeon has partnered with hospitality giant Marriott International, and company representatives from both groups stated: "The first Nickelodeon Resorts by Marriott property is expected to be a 650-room resort at Liberty Station in San Diego, which will incorporate a 100,000sq.ft waterpark and activity deck complex featuring a variety of pools and interactive attractions."
