Super 78 produces digital flying attraction film (1 view)

Super 78 Studios, a global creative production company with offices in the US and China, has produced the first ever digital large format, live-action aerial film for Shanghai's largest theme park.

Flight of the Dragon is set to debut next year at Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Holding Company's 200-acre Happy Valley Theme Park in Shanghai.

It was written and directed by Brent Young, Super 78's chief creative officer, and includes a photo-real, computer generated dragon who accompanies the audience through the film, guiding them towards a fireworks display over the city's Pudong district.

"Our team spent nearly eight weeks in helicopters over various locations to film a truly one-of-a-kind film," said Young. "Integrating unique animation elements enabled us to incorporate the rich Chinese culture on a grand scale."
