The new musical attraction has an approximate 25 minute running time and a storyline that has been updated from the original screenplay to infuse romance and comic relief with extravagant stagecraft, acrobatic choreography and a contemporary musical score.

The show has been unveiled more than 18 months prior to the release of a remake of the iconic 1950s film, which is being directed by Breck Eisner and due to hit cinemas in 2011.
